Patti, It is in Customise on the Gedcom Export screen (I choose Legacy as the Type of file to Produce) then that brings up another screen Items to Include ... at the top where it says Export these items, highlight the ones you want to remove (eg ABBR, QUAY) and hit Remove in the centre.
