I think we have to distinguish between a marriage and a wedding as they are not
the same thing.
There can only be one Legal marriage ceremony (that which the State recognizes
as granting the legal benefits of marriage) but there can be an infinite number
of wedding ceremonies.

Jack,

I've an uncle and aunt who were married twice.  They first married in
a civil ceremony in the city clerk's office of New York state.  Since
the groom's mother didn't like the bride, they kept the marriage a
secret from the mother for several months.  The bride mentioned the
civil ceremony to her parish priest who then married them a second
time in the church in the state of New Jersey.  It happens!

As to how I entered it, I went into the couple's first marriage
record and at the bottom of the screen, clicked on the "Add" button
and added the event "Alt. Marriage" where I added the second date and
second location so that both events were shown under the Marriage window.
