To my knowledge, No.

Issue: Have you used Source Detail with the specific records? If so, they would 
also be lost. That may be OK, depending on what you are trying to do.

If you want to actually delete the original source from the database, you could 
simply "edit" it and transform it into the new source, thus "assigning the new 
source to all of those places".

If you need to continue the use of the original source, you could a) make a 
minor change to the title of the original source, then save it as a new source, 
then b) edit the original source to transform it (as suggested above), then c) 
re-edit the source you saved in a) to restore it as you wish.
