Hi Just my twopennyworth. TMG (The Master Genealogist) does indicate when a posible duplicate has been entered and allows it/them to be viewed at the time of entry. The matching criteria can be specified to a considerable degree. I find it useful and it even indicated a crossover between two of my lines that I would have missed at least initially. It doesn't slow the program in any way.
