Michele,
 
I take it that you have version 7, and you mean Census Event and not Census 
Source. I do not have Census Events so inserted your phrase in a Birth Event.
 
Went to Seach and Replace, select Notes-Events, Anywhere in the field, Replace 
only found text.... It was found and replaced with blank as requested.
