The process is not at all intuitive but can be accomplished as follows: 1. Navigate to E-Mail Settings 2. Click on 'Junk E-Mail Guard' from list of choices 3. Click on 'Custom filters' from list of choices (this will bring you to the regular Windows Live Hotmail interface for your account.) 4. Click on 'Options' in upper right corner of page (just below your sign-in name) 5. Click on 'More Options' from the bottom of the resulting drop-down list 6. Click on 'Automatically sort e-mail into folders' in the section titled Customize Your E-Mail Dale ----- Original Message ----- From: CE WOOD To: LegacyUserGroup@legacyfamilytree.com Sent: Wednesday, March 11, 2009 5:57 PM Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] Digest of Legacy User Group But many people do not use a program such as Outlook or Outlook Express. They view their emails directly at MSN, etc., where you canNOT create a rule. You also cannot create a rule in Outlook unless you transfer your emails from MSN to your own computer. While they are on MSN, etc., rules do not apply.
