I think your problem Is that this is a Descendant Chart, and 1/2 kids are not descendants of the step-parent, unless they have been adopted, in which case, they are included.

What you could do, is make a separate database where you 'adopt' all the 1/2 kids so they are found as 'full' descendants. Then you can remove it after printing, or leave one to keep just for print outs, and not keep up data.
