Her responses always give the impression that at some point in time a re-write will happen. I am asking that Millennia be honest with their customer for a change and give us an honest answer as to whether or not this re-write is or is not going to happen. In other words, stop making excuses and tell us if there is a possibility that these requested items will or will not be a reality. My question stands. Is this re-write that she keeps leaning on ever going to happen?

She is simply stating the fact that the current structure will not accept such a change. Any re-write has to make economic sense for the company. And there needs to be enough benefits beyond a single feature that it is worth while putting the third-party developers through a re-write of their programs too. We have been hearing this same response for at least three years now. I think Millennia needs to be honest with their users. Either this re-write is going to happen or it isn't. This excuse has ceased to be believable. --- Ron Bernier, sent from my Verizon Blackberry Storm ----- Original Message ----- From: [email protected] <[email protected]> To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Sent: Mon Aug 10 12:52:59 2009 Subject: RE: [Bulk] RE: [LegacyUG] Same Sex Relationship Entries It's not a matter that we're *not* going to do it - it's a matter that the way Legacy is structured we *can't* do it at this time without a complete rewrite of the database structure. Of course, that would have a trickle-down effect for the developers of the add-on programs and they'd have to rewrite their programs to accept the new Legacy format. It's not as simple as flipping a switch or anything. It would be a major undertaking. Believe me, we have enough people writing to us that they'd like this feature so we know it's a popular request and it hasn't fallen from the radar! Thanks for using Legacy.
