No wonder you have had problems. I need to know more before advising you and 
it's well past my bed-time (nearly 2-00am). I would strongly suggest that you 
do absolutely nothing, without advice as you stand a very good chance of 
messing your Windows registry up - if it isn't already.
 
Hopefully in the meantime somebody else will have been able to advise. It may 
be quite straight forward but this very much depends how you renamed V6, how 
you ran it again, what you did with it when you reinstalled v7 and a heap of 
other things.
 
Otherwise I will contact you off-list during (my) tomorrow, sorry today, 
morning.
