Bill, Having just recently ustarted usig the Picture Gallery and pretty intensively, I think I have a quicker answer for you. Highlight the individual in the name list on the left. You should then see all the photos/images attached to whichever events in the Attached Pictures window center bottom. Click on the Attached Pics tab on the right. See the Set Preferred button? Highlight the photos/image you want to be preferred and click on Set Preferred. The "*" automatically moves from the gravestone picture to the one you want. (provided you have another picture you want to use.) Hope this helps. --Paula

Does the program automatically assign at least one photo as preferred? I am in the process of moving a lot of tombstone photos from Individual to my Grave category. I just figured out how to do that and noticed that a lot of these tombstones are set as the preferred image.
