I open a new message in Outlook and set to Text format then paste and copy from 
there to get rid of HTML.  Never found the "Strip HTML" (I think that is the 
name of the button) in Legacy very effective.

I am sure that I had done this.

I always copy 
email text to Windows Notepad to get rid of any code that might be embedded 
especially from HTML emails then copy it into the notes for that source.  I 
don't know if that is part of the problem, but I find this very useful for 
getting rid of any formatting codes.
