One of my ancestors was born in Ireland, and married a Canadian girl whose
origin was unknown at the time. The computer assigned a <date> and <Ireland>
place for her, from his information. I have found that whenever I see the < >
information, I can also find where it originated. But even though it may be
completely wrong, it can also be helpful if you recognize that information for
what it is. A name with no date or place is almost useless until it can be tied
somewhere.
