You said you have attached Documents to these Events:  is that Source
Documents?

If you have a Master Source such as "Passenger Lists - Ellis Island" (or
whatever you might have called it) you can view your Master Source List
and get a list of all the Individuals who use this particular Source.
You can then tag everyone in this list and thus find everyone whose
information you want to edit.

What you can't do is make one change and apply it to the Event Notes of
everyone on the lists.  But if you are standardising, you can make good
use of Copy & Paste or the Event Clipboard.  (In case you don't know,
the Event Clipboard allows you to C&P the whole Event, including Sources
and is very useful if you just want to make minor changes to one or two
of the fields.)
