I'm not sure if this is what you're asking but I don't create a
separate even for all the different areas that the census covers (you
mentioned occupation, residence, immigration etc); I create an event
for that specific census; type is census, date is 1910, place is
Chicago or whatever. Then I transcribe the census data into the
details, everything on everyone. Then I copy that event to the
clipboard and go to each individual that was mentioned on that census
and add that event to their file. You can go into the details and
BOLD or Underline or Italicize the details that apply to that
particular individual to make it stand out. I think immigration would
be the only other thing I might make a separate event but usually only
once I find the actual immigration record; census details can vary so
much and you'd have 3 or 4 different entries possibly. That's just me;
I can see where all that would be useful but I have to weigh the
benefits with the time consumed entering every little thing in it's
own event.

And of course, the sourcing works the same way, as Sherry stated. And
you can attach a source to pretty much everything you need to. Don't
know about the pics so much; I haven't done a lot of that yet because
of my own skepticism about that being worthwhile for me at this point.

I hope you are able to find the answers you are searching for. Kathy
