Thanks folks the light bulb has switched on and I think I got it now..... I think. :-)
I didn't pick up on Randy's answer concerning "generation" itself. Also had tunnel vision when I went to "Help" and was focused so much on the Relationship Calculator information that I completely missed the "Relationship Asterisk" note. And if I understand this correctly, the "*" disappeared with the "Swap" button because the relationship was then ascending rather than descending, generation wise. Chuck H.
