You asked in an earlier post which was the Master Source and which the
Detail in the example I gave. I use SourceWriter and the Citation shown
on the Master Source screen is:

Scotland Statutory Registers, ; digital image,
ScotlandsPeople (www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk).

(The website name ScotlandsPeople is in italics.)

Note that I have not filled in the fields Agency/Creator, Website
Creator or Publish Date on the SW template. Those entries would come
after Scotland, after image, and in the bibliography only, respectively.

The template I used is Death Records>DeathRegister>Created at
State/Provincial level/Online image.

To access this template, select SourceWriter System in
Options/Customise/Sourcesclick then from the Add new Master Source
screen do the following in turn:
Select Death Records in the left column
Select Death Register from list 1
Select Created at State/Provincial level from list 2
Select Online image from list 3
Click Go to Step 2.
Fill in a many of the fields as you wish.

I might be worth mentioning here, for the benefit of those who want
consistency but hesitate to use SourceWriter, that I make *a lot* of use
of the Add a generic source here/Online database field template.

Having set up the Master Source, the Source Detail has only 3 fields:
Item of interest, Date accessed and Credit line (plus the usual optional
ones at the bottom of the screen.) This means it is suitable for a
whole variety of Sources and you can write as much or as little as you
want in the Item of interest field in whatever form you want.

There are other variations of the Add a generic source here template and
all have the same 3 Detail fields, allowing for much flexibility.
