Hi Chap,
   I'm not using any notes with photo's, so I guess that leaves that out.  
Almost 99.9% of the notes involved are research notes.

when printing notes.
I only print General Notes for eveyone.

Do any of your notes involve Research or Medical Notes?

If you have Notes with Pictures and are printing pictures, then you
would expect blank lines  to account for the pictures.
I use a lot of events with pictures and do get several blank lines
between events since the picture takes up several lines.
