Perhaps what he is asking is when you choose "Export To GEDCOM" rather than
Export to Legacy File", what is the difference between:

"Produce a file for:" Legacy
"Produce a file for:" GEDCOM 5.5 Only

Jerry,

I do not think that the Legacy to Legacy transfer uses a GEDCOM. Although I
can see no reason why it should, and have been of this opinion for a long
time, I have no definite information on the matter that I can think of at
the moment.

Can someone clear something up for me? When you export and create a gedcom
file from Legacy as a Legacy file instead of a regular gedcom 5.5, what are
the differences? They both become gedcoms, right? Thanks, Jerry
