Brian, Thanks for the reply and please bare with me, I'm confused. In the individuals assigned source window under "father rel: and Mother rel:", I have added the source,a birth certificate. Are you saying I should also, in the "children's settings" window select "birth" for Mother/Father relationship to have the parents names properly sourced or should I be working with the "child status"?
Or simpler, what is the process to properly source a persons parents names when you have documents to prove it ? Thanks for your patients.
