Ila, Re: 2nd question: Have you set the report to start on a new page for each generation (under Page Layout tab) which can leave a large gap?

Are you sure you are clicking the Create button and not the Save button? > I am also having probems with persons that have notes, the report has > once in awhile a large gap before the next person is listed. As all the examples you give have a wide letter followed by a narrow one it sounds as though you are using a fixed-pitch font, where every letter is afforded equal width on the page, thus making it appear as if there is a gap when you have a narrow letter like i. Try a proportional font, like Times New Roman, where each letter is afforded only the space it needs. -- Jenny M Benson Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
