Hi Ian, Nearly all of the services such as Dropbox have an expiration date for files kept there. Those expiration dates are generally either 30 or 90 days. Inactivity on the app is the usual trigger for deletion of files by the provider. Only Amazon's cloud service does not have an expiration date, so far as I know. I would very much recommend that anyone contemplating the use of a cloud service first view the Legacy Webinar, "The Genealogy Cloud - by Thomas MacEntee" which is available for purchase from the Legacy website.
