I have recently purchased the latest version of Legacy Family Tree having used Family Tree Maker for years. There are many functions in both that I appreciate but also differences that can be confusing.
To start with I have two questions: 1. What is the best way for Legacy to handle "von" or "von der"? I am not totally pleased with the way name prefix or suffix does this. I would prefer to have the main part of the name, i.e. Bruck rather than von Bruck, but still have the von recorded. This does significantly affect the search on FamilySearch. 2. On import of .ged file there seemed to be some errors that placed dates or other information in the places database. I have corrected the individual records but these false places are still listed and I can't find a way to erase them.
