I’m not sure exactly how Legacy plans to add sources from Family Tree. In the
work I have done in Family Tree, it appears that one only adds sources to a
person, not to a particular fact/event. Perhaps Legacy will ask which
fact(s)/event(s) one wants to add the source to, or maybe it will just add it
to the person (call unspecified, I think).

I would wait to see how the interface works before doing anything other than
saving the source in your Source Box.

Alternatively, one could add them in Legacy as Legacy is more specific (i.e.
attached to specific facts/events) which is “compatible” with Family Tree’s
more general structure. It’s quite possible that going the other way (from
Family Tree to Legacy) won’t work as well as it may not support linking sources
to specific facts/events.

We eagerly await the next update!

Paul

I should have added that I do have my sources in my SourceBox on Family Tree.

I have had wonderful success finding sources for my family history on
FamilySearch. Now my question is will it be better to put them into Family
Tree now and sync them to Legacy later, or put them into Legacy and sync them
into Family Tree later?? It does take extra time to do both right now. Thanks
