Yes, I have reviewed the compatibility issues that Ltools has posted in relation to Legacy version 8. Most of the issues are because of the rumored changes to the events table and its connections to the other tables in the database.
If you purchase Ltools for only the ability to sort all children in every family in one pass...that would pay for the investment. But then there's many other features that really are useful to a computer literate Legacy user. I have no doubt that Dennis will adjust Ltools for V8 when that version is officially released and he seems confident that most of the current functionality will work unless tblER is involved. I'm sure Dennis can clarify further but his list of compatibility topics looks pretty well detailed already. I am impressed with the program and amazed that it continues to be updated free with new processes. Dennis may opt to charge for an upgraded version that is re-worked for V8. I haven't seen anything on that yet but as I said above, it would be completely worth it the first time you use it. The list is significant. Would you still recommend it for the same price? The first time I used it made the small investment well worth every cent. And now I've used it for numerous purposes. But there are the files that somehow appear to be attached to 5 different places within the one person or family yet I can only find some of those attachment points. I want to be able to unlink any that I can not find the attachment point for. On 25 September 2013 15:34, Leon Chapman <chap...@gmail.com> wrote: You may want to wait till Legacy 8 becomes available.
