I agree with Bert! I have none of these in any general notes or marriage notes. and I have imported, entered manually and Integrated with FamilySearch but not synced to it, except individuals I was sure of.
To see if it is possible if you linked with FamilySearch, there will be little left and right arrows on the right side of the Name boxes and children lists in Family View. They will be grey if they have no match in the FamilySearch database and will be red if there is a match and not synced and green if they have. These arrows and linking can be turned off by going to the Options>Customize and on the General tab lower right is the FamilySearch box “Integrate with FamilySearch” uncheck and they will go away and you won’t have to worry about them. The thing is, I haven't got a clue how to do a Gedcom import. I prefer to have complete control over what goes into my data base so all the information has been entered manually. Could I have inadvertently linked to LDS in some way? Only my paternal line has this problem - in fact most but not all, including births as recent as 2011. I am quite happy to go through and delete the notes but it appears this problem is not an isolated case. I did a test. Installed My Heritage and made a Gedcom from the sample file in it. (JFK and family) Then I did a Gedcom import into Legacy of this MH-file. In all General Notes fields appeared RIN MH numbers. For instance for JFK himself: BIRT: RIN MH:IF1 DEAT: RIN MH:IF2 BURI: RIN MH:IF3 DSCR: RIN MH:IF4 EDUC: RIN MH:IF7 NATI: RIN MH:IF10 OCCU: RIN MH:IF6 OCCU: RIN MH:IF5 _UID: RIN MH:IF9 RELI: RIN MH:IF8 So my guess that these RIN MH numbers are generated by My Heritage is correct. You say you have entered all your records yourself. But the problem is that Legacy don't put information into the General Notes fields by itself. The only possilitities are: 1. You did it yourself 2. Imported by a Gecom. and perhaps, but I have no clue: 3. By synchronisation through LDS or...? When importing a Gedcom made by My Heritage these RIN MH numbers are not recognized by Legacy; and therefore put into the General Notes fields. Hope this helps. Thought: pick a person who has these numbers, write down the RIN numbers they have, and then see who that RIN number matches up with in YOUR own tree. I highly fought this has anything to do with ancestry as I have none of these and I use ancestry all the time. They must have come from an import because I don't make that type of entry.  If you discover where they may have originated, please post again.  I wish I had an answer but at least you have confirmation that this is not unique to your file.
