Hi Darryl, "the old format which is standard "21 Nov 1953" is not option anymore on the program"
That's odd, it's exactly what I selected when I was reviewing the options, and have it set now. On my screen, looking at Customise 5.1, it's the second option in the left-hand column, below "Nov 21, 1953". That's a comma, not a full stop/period. If you're seeing different options, perhaps it is influenced by the language set when you first opened Legacy v8 - I selected English (Australia), since I'm in New Zealand and it's the closest to what I use in everyday language. You can change the language option via the ribbon - Option > Select Language. "gbl" means "global", I expect. As in, this setting is a global one, and will affect every family file (ff) you open. A setting that indicates it is (ff) only affects the family file you have open at the time you set that option. I really like that Legacy now tells us this information. Hope this helps. :-) Kind Regards, Wendy Darryl Bonk said the following on 2/12/2013 12:38 p.m.: > Seems unusual that the default would be with a period after the day of > the month "21.
