John,

Thank you for the info. I now see that Legacy 8 is indeed installed in
Program Files. I'm curious about one thing. I have a SSD where all
application files are stored by default on the C: drive, and data files are
stored on a regular drive labeled D:. On the C: drive is Legacy 7.5 in its
own folder in the root directory. I am running Win7.

Questions:

1) Should I / is it safe to uninstall this using Windows Add/Remove?

2) I have two Program Files folders on my C: drive. One named Program
Files, the other named Program Files (x86). Legacy 8 is installed in the
latter. Is this the way it is supposed to be? The folder Legacy Family
Tree is indeed located under My Documents, which resided on my D: drive.
