Updating Legacy 8 is no more difficult than updating Legacy 7. Meaning not difficult at all.
If any special instructions come with new update, they will include them. But I doubt you will see many.

The way the program is structured, it's not possible to send out "patches" to update. The full setup file must be downloaded.
Because of all the additional features in v8, the setup file is much larger than it was with v7.5
