Interesting. This worked in 7.5 also. (I thought we were limited to 2
split views in version 7, but 7 also allowed for 6 windows/files at
once). And in 7.5, there IS a "WINDOW" pick along the menus at the top
(File, Edit, Add, . . . Window, Options, Help). This same WINDOWS menu
is where you can pick which file/window is active.

BUT - in version 8 the WINDOW option does not appear in the menus. (I'm
"playing" with the STANDARD version of 8, and the DELUXE version of 7.5
- maybe that's the difference??) Thus I can not find a
cascade/vertical/horizontal option in version 8 STANDARD. And, if you
maximize one of the windows, the ONLY(?) way you can get back to one of
the others is to click the itty-bitty RESTORE button that appears in the
upper right had corner once you've maximized the window. This is not
the RESTORE that is next to the APPLICATION close "X", but instead it is
the RESTORE that is just below that (between the "ABOUT" and the WINDOW
close "X").

Thus in version 7 you could jump between files by picking WINDOW and
then picking the file from the list. In version 8 you need to
un-maximize the one you are focused on and then maximize the new one
that you want to focus on. Not a big deal, but not quite as fast as the
version 7 method. (Plus, as the original poster pointed out - there is
no cascade/vertical/horizontal option in version 8 - at least not in the
STANDARD version.)
