Helen, You can exclude these events GLOBALLY from the PP checking. Go to View > Master Lists > Edit Event Definition. Highlight the event (anything that happens after death like an obituary or a cemetery) and click edit over on the right.
At the top you will see some check boxes. Check the one that says to exclude from PP report.
