Thank you Michele and Brian for being such a great help. Brian, you've pointed out something I didn't know existed and now that I've fine tuned the Events section, it should make my life much easier.
And while we're on about Potential Problems, why does this feature point out problems under a child's name, saying that there is a problem with his/her parent's date, etc. Why not point out the parent instead? Several of these problems are impossible to find and I've had to delete the PP, rather than fix it.
