Well, you live and learn! Thanks for that, Mike. I will now have to try and learn all those shortcuts! But what prompted that particular question was that when I asked if Ctrl+C etc was not just as useful, Gene mentioned having to have boilerplate text in another application. I still don't understand that part: just as the Function keys will (I now know) copy text from one Legacy field and paste it to another, so one can use Ctrl+C to copy text from one field and Ctrl + V to paste it to another. -- Jenny M Benson Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyusers.com/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyfamilytree.com/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
