I see a green bar by the 2 parents in family view, but the children are all
either red or blue. Is that what is expected? I thought maybe the direct
ancestor would be green like the bar by the parents.

Red and blue colors for names designate the sex of the person.

You need to have Ancestor Color Coding enabled in Options > Customize
8.3 - the boxes showing the ancestor colors are in the upper right
corner of the husband and wife's box on the Family View - next to the
tags (if you have them showing)
