Hi Larry,
It probably needs to be in more places given the answers that have been
given on this topic, but it is there - Index to help - Pictures - on
Family View
8-0087 : 30808
8.9 Picture of Main Person
By default, a small thumbnail of the preferred picture is shown on the
Family View for both main individuals. If you have unusually large
pictures, this can slow down navigation between generations. Uncheck the
box to turn the pictures off.

By default, all pictures marked as Preferred are displayed as
thumbnails. You can also choose to limit the pictures displayed to:

Only Tagged Preferred Pictures
Only Untagged Preferred Pictures

As you add pictures to individuals, they are automatically tagged. If
you don't want a particular picture to be displayed on the Family or
Pedigree View, you can untag the picture and then select the Only Tagged
Preferred Pictures option.

If there is no individual picture for an individual, you can choose to
display another picture associated with the person. Legacy looks for
displayable pictures from the birth, christening, death, burial, and
events (in this order).

If no pictures can be found, you have the option to display a place
holder silhouette instead.

Cathy
