Under some circumstances I *would* create such an Event, just as I have
Events named Press & Publications and

I think it all rather depends on whether the person was actively
concerned in some way.  If an Ancestor of mine published an
autobiography or wrote a diary I would probably create a "book event"
detailing that he wrote/published the work and giving a description of
the contents.  And almost certainly Events for particular activities
therein recorded and using the book/diary as a Source.  I someone wrote
history in which they made some reference to my Ancestor I would not
create a "book event" but might just use the book as a Source.
