It is only fair that any blogs. advice, and other "official" Legacy posts always be posted here, and not just to the FaceBook site!
Posting to both would be best, save duplication of Legacy staff effort when the same problem or question that was posted on only one site is asked again on the other. Customers benefit greatly from the questions others pose and the answers given. Legacy's great reputation for responding and preventing problems is not served when it discriminates against one or the other group of its online users. Sherry, While there is extra that can be done on the FB discussion, can the support staff post some of the more helpful tips that are discussed on FB here on the ListServ? I have used the FB discussion before and been rather dressed down by some of the 'other users' about my comments. I will look at the FB discussions in my feed, but rarely will I comment on anything directly again. I will message people who post questions or comments that I think I am able to assist with 'technical computer issues' that they raise. For example, Michelle just posted a blog about exporting data from Legacy (7, 7.5 and 8) to .csv to create a spreadsheet to track census report. That information might be helpful here for someone who 'lerks' on the ListServ and does not want to post anything, given some of the 'Enough is Enough' responses to this and the RIP message threads. Some people prefer Facebook, some prefer email lists. Technical questions can sometimes be answered on either list, but if it's a complex problem, it's best to contact Support on the Problem Support Form so we can spend some dedicated time with you. Both lists were designed to be users-helping-users with how-to questions and ideas on how everyone uses Legacy. Any questions I have that are technical should be directed to the Technical Staff directly, correct? As a relatively new user what is the most convenient way to do the latter?
