Perhaps more interesting is that they are already referring to Legacy 10 only 6
months after Legacy 9 came out. That might indicate a plan to move to the way
that Ancestry did with Family Tree Maker selling new versions every year –
definitely not what we want as users. I would have expected any links to
MyHeritage to be part of a free update and not part of a new version, with
prices.

Regarding Unicode, which any current system should support outside of the
traditional Latin-based character sets, they will need to transfer from Visual
Basic V6, which came out of support in 2005, to Visual Basic .NET. That is much
more than just making additions and fixes to the current system, and will need
a full redesign of it. Perhaps MyHeritage will be able to provide them with the
funding and resources to do that.

Chris

You'd think that would be high on the list for an Israeli company...

Well it looks like there will be interesting times ahead for Millennia
and the software with the merger/acquisition of Millennia by MyHeritage.

Too bad that one of the answers about Legacy 10 is that it will not
support Unicode. I guess that means that it will still be a Visual Basic
application.

I am beginning to think it will never be migrated to the .net framework
and Unicode.
