Ian, don't confuse display with content.
The content of the field has not changed, just the way the program
displays the numbers. This is no different that choosing to display
surnames in all caps even though they are entered in mixed case.

Index, and Descendant views: No other data fields get any
additional character treatment, so why should these?____

Why all of a sudden is there brackets around the field FndGrv#

Perhaps it is a field I have added , but the brackets are new,
unless of course the oldtimers is really kicking in.____
