Whenever possible, if I find something interesting/new on the web, I don't rely on it being still there after some time. Therefore I download, copy or transcribe that page(es). Of course I would also keep record of the site address, but won't trust it to still work lateron. In the case mentioned, I wonder if it wouldn't be wise to classify it as the 'root' source of that info which would be the newspaper (given that I know it's name year, edition, page etc.). Chances are that this information indeed can be traced back in ...say ten years. In addition I would also take note of where I actually found it.
