Another thought, is your mouse programmable? I have a new programmable mouse, the same thing had happened to me. When I put the old mouse back on, the problem went away- so I looked at how my mouse was programmed by default. One of the dang buttons was activating a double click with just one click. After I changed it to single click, Legacy behaved normally again. Just a thought.
