Are you instructing Word to read "all files" or "text"? Text files are actually created in an ASCII format (DOS) and must be converted. Word is usually set up to read only Word Docs and you must change to read something else. You might also might wish to look at both as formatting is changed and one may suit you better than the other.

Thanks, I gave that a try ("all files" and "text'). With "text" I got nothing, and with "all files" I got a bunch of stuff that didn't make any sense.
I'll keep trying.
