Peter,

After you choose to make a text file, DO NOT click on Save. Click on
CREATE. Save, in this case, just saves the report options and is an
internal format you can use to create custom reports.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Can't read saved report

| I'm sorry if there is a simple answer to this, but I can't find it in
| "Help" or in my Legacy 4.0 printed manual or in the archives of this
group.
|
| I do a Descendent Report, save it in text format, then I go to the saved
| report and my Word XP program can't read the .rfo format.
|
| Mainly, I want to make small reports and email them. So far, I've had to
| save the report to the clipboard as a meta file, paste it into Word, save
| it as a .doc file, and then I can attach that file to an email.
|
| Isn't there a simpler way?
|
| Thanks for your help.
