Thanks Darlene for confirming to me that at least for me,
Canon printers are the way to go.  You've had two HP's
in 5 years, so that's 2.5 years per printer.  My first Canon
lasted at least a year longer before I felt I needed to replace
it.  Maybe it lasted 4 years.  I wasn't keeping real good track.

The ink cartridges are also very easy to replace in Canons.
Just as easy as in an HP IMO, and I've done both.  Another
benefit of the Canons is that the individual ink cartridges I'd
bought to use in my old Canon 6000 also work in my new
Canon i850.  Another way Canon saves money over HP,
which seems to have a slightly different cartidge for each
printer, or at least each new generation of printers.
