I'm re-thinking splitting my family file into two files (one for my
husband's family and one for my own) after reading what you all had to say
about the difficulties that might arise. I only wanted to do this in order
to share some information with family members of both sides without
subjecting them to information on a line in which they have no interest. I
thought it would be less cluttered and more enjoyable for them that way.
Now, I see that it might be a mistake.

I don't believe I've found any common ancestors for my husband and myself,
at least to date but I'm not sure I want to "ask for trouble" by proceeding
any further with the split.

My intention was to retain the complete family file of both our families,
while at the same time, creating two separate files, one for my husband's
line and one for my own, ending with a total of three separate files. Do
any of you know of a simpler way to do this? Again, I appreciate your help!
