Jan,
You are correct in saying "many people" would not like the thought of their
married couples being referred to as a "Union".

If Legacy started referring to "Marriages" as a "Union", I would have to
stop using Legacy.  There are many more Marriages than there are
one-night-stands.

I am not being prudish.  I have several people in my file who are living
together, but who are not married to each other.  I also have a few who had
children by individuals with whom they never lived with.

All of those individual situations should NOT take away the cloak of
Marriage from the other individuals who Married to have their family group.

The Un-married and Un-known situations should be selected from the "Status"
box on the "Marriage Information" screen and explained in Notes, Marriage
Notes or an Event if further information is necessary.
