Dave:
You're best bet here is to Tag the records/people you want to export and
then Export the Tagged people to a new file. You can then, work with the
new exported file to create whatever you want.

1. I would start by finding all Springer's by going to "Search", "Find"
and select "Detailed Search Tab".
2.    Look for Whom:     Individual;
       Where to Look:      Surname
        How to Look:        Equal To
        What to Look for:  Springer
Then hit the Create List button -- This will tag all of the Springer's.
3. You will then have the list of Springers.
4. I would probably manually tag (Tag 1) from Thomas to William in this
list of Springers (assumes there are not a lot of people in this group you
want).
5. Then I would get out of the search mode and do a File Export those
with Tag 1.

This will work unless you have a large group of people to deal with.
Hope this helps.
Chap
