You're best bet here is to Tag the records/people you want to export and then Export the Tagged people to a new file. You can then, work with the new exported file to create whatever you want.
1. I would start by finding all Springer's by going to "Search", "Find" and select "Detailed Search Tab". 2. Look for Whom: Individual Where to Look: Surname How to Look: Equal To What to Look for: Springer ----> This selects only Springer's Check the Second Condition Box, plus check "And" condition Look for Whom: Individual Where to Look: Given names How to Look: Wild Card What to Look for: [T-W]* ----> This selects all 1st names beginning with T to W.
Then hit the Create List button -- This will tag all of the Springer's. 3. You will then have the list of Springers whose first names begins with a T thru W (Thomas to William) 4. Tag everyone in this list and then untag any that you don't want -- you will have some extra people that you do not want, e.g., Ted Springer 5. Then I would get out of the search mode and do a File Export those with Tag 1.
Good luck. Chap
