Helen, If you remove the ancestors of your husband's parents won't that also remove the ancestors of his grandparents. I would proceed like this.
First, dopy your Legacy file to a new file. Open the new file. Go to your husband's father and make him the focus person. Click on edit and Tag Records. Choose to tag all his ancestors as Tag 2 Do exactly the same thing for his mother Go to Search and create a list of all persons with Tag 2 = Tagged Create a list Under Options choose Advanced Deleting and delete everyone with Tag 2 = Tagged Now choose yourself, go to Edit, Tag Records and choose to tag your descendants as Tag 1, using the option to Tag Entire Family Line. Do a gedcom of all people with Tag 1 = Tagged. That should get rid of your husband's family.
