As I recall, it gets transferred in the GEDCOM as "1 DEAT Y" which is valid GEDCOM syntax. So it sounds like the program you are importing to does not recognize this syntax. What I would do is try using my word processor to edit the GEDCOM and either: o find these lines and delete them (maybe using a macro) o globally change these lines to "1 DEAT" I don't know of a way to stop Legacy from exporting only these instances. If you told Legacy not to export the DEAT tag, you wouldn't get any death info. Good luck! -- Dennis M.
