That is, did you press the space bar in the field? You can tell if you did by looking at the field and is the flashing cursor anywhere,
other than the far left. The best way to delete the HE is to delete using the BACKSPACE key, until the cursor is where it needs to be.
In general, NULL can be (among many other things) a programing term for a non empty, empty field.
You do not want to do this (the HE), because you have created a surname spelled ' ' , which is confusing the computer. Just leave it empty.
This is the same thing that happens when you delete notes instead of clearing them, (for 100% erase). It leaves the icon colored in.

These people are a family who I haven't merged into a direct line of the database--and now I am not sure if I wish to do so until I can clear this up. Another odd thing is that the error message only seems to happen in the Family Report. A couple of the new twenty-six people do not have last names, does anyone know if this affects it? I'm not sure why it would, as I have other people in the database missing a first name or last name and have not had any printing issues.
